Fenton Art Glass

Frank Fenton founded the Fenton Art Glass Company in 1905 and was producing unique works, influenced by Tiffany and Steuben, in 1907 from his own factory in Williamstown, West Virginia.

The company produced more practical items during the depression and 2nd World War, making up for shortages in standard kitchenware.
Milk glass production, the company’s signature legacy, began in 1939.

Pieces were coded according to pattern; Hobnail being most popular but also including Panther, Dragon and Lotus, Coin Dot, and Cherry Chain; and color (Amberina, Plum Opalescent, Amethyst Opalescent, Cobalt, etc.)
The Company ramped down production towards 2007, and went to jewelry only in 2011.
